Chao Wan is a talented young pottery artist from an established Yixing Zisha pottery family. As a child, he followed his parents to the Yixing Zisha Craft No. 2 Factory Research Institute, where he was greatly influenced by Zisha art. Under the guidance of his father and many famous pot-making masters, he has laid a solid foundation, and his skills have advanced by leaps and bounds. Chao Wan has gradually formed his artistic style while inheriting his father's simple, generous, elegant, and prudent style.
Yuan Kuang Di Cao Qing is found in the deep bottom layer of the Huanglong Mountain Zisha clay deposits in Yixing, Jiangsu. Due to its depth, it is less contaminated and highly pure. Over time, it develops a beautiful bronze tone that is impossible to replicate.
There is an artistic and functional standard for evaluating Yixing teapots, refining tea-making by appearance alone. After considering the quality of the material, a balance exists between beauty and function. As tea lovers, our propensity is for shape and style, which enhances the flavor of tea. These classic, refined shapes provide a perfect canvas for creating a deep luster and patina over time.
