Welcome to the magical world of Usaka Koji! Ceramic pieces are imbued with folklore and the imagination of this acclaimed potter whohas been creating functional artworks since 1980 when he established his first kiln in Tochigi, Japan. He is most famous for his hand-painted Aka-e (red drawn) orSeimon(color drawn) high-temperature fired glazed ceramics. His works are instantaneously recognizable and contain a whole universe of their own. The designs often include a detailed arabesque pattern with the moon, clouds, mountains, and even forest creatures. Usaka Koji produces a very limited number of pieces each year, andwe hope you will make one of these select pieces a part of your home.
