Yin Xia is a contemporary Yixing zisha artist specializing in handcrafted purple clay teapots. Trained under senior artisans within a family workshop, given Yixing’s apprenticeship traditions.
Yuan Kuang Qing Shui Ni is the most fundamental Zini (紫泥) variety from Yixing, referring to single-layer purple clay ore that is not blended with artificial sand or additives. The name emphasizes its purity, sourced primarily from Huanglong Mountain's No. 4 and No. 5 mines.
There is an artistic and functional standard for evaluating Yixing teapots, which refines the tea-making process based solely on appearance. After considering the quality of the material, a balance exists between beauty and function. As tea lovers, our propensity is for shape and style, which enhances the flavor of tea. These classic, refined shapes provide a perfect canvas for creating a deep luster and patina over time.
