Wild White Peony King (白牡丹) Bai Mu Dan was harvested on April 13, 2024, handcrafted and traditionally sun-dried by the 3rd generation Zhong Family. The White Peony is made from the first bud and two leaves a month after Silver Needle. Spending a month in the sun allows for the fiber development of the leaves and creates a bolder flavor than its predecessor. With a beautiful slender shape and hints of fluorescent green, it has a pungent aroma that will entice you to sit down for a long session. Though delicate, the leaves provide immense taste after 5-10 brewings. We recommend starting at lower temperatures and gradually increasing both time and heat to further bring out its elusive tannins.
