Mang Fei Ancient Wild Arbor Tree (Alt. 2200-2300m)
Mang Fei is the champion tea from Yong De Area and grown at an elevation of 2200-2300 meters above sea level from 300-500 year-old wild trees that are picked before Qing Ming (around April 5th). The cakes are traditionally hand pressed into 400g cakes that can be broken apart completely by hand without the use of a pick. This helps the tea leaves from being broken easily and creates a very smooth brew in the cup. The leaves will brew quickly and you don't need excess heat to draw out flavors until much later brewings. Classic, smokey production compared to the clean taste of the younger, modern rendition of the 2019 Vintage.
