The husband and wife duo Daisaku Hashimura and Michi Nomi crafted the tea caddy containers from handblown glass. They are accentuated with gold and silver leaf touches on the rim, body, and lid, creating the illusion of shadows. The ripple effect is a signature of Daisaku, while Michi specializes in frosting and adding mesmerizing color tones. Traditionally, Chaire is used to temporarily store sifted matcha to be scooped into bowls for whisking but can be used to store precious trinkets or admired on display.
