"Desolate Mountain"
Early spring-picked Huang Shan Sheng Puer is an excellent introduction to the world of Puerh, made from 70-year-old trees. The strength, vitality, and taste characteristics are a perfect benchmark against "wild arbor" Puerh. The cakes are traditionally hand-pressed into 400g cakes that can be broken apart by hand without the use of a pick. This helps prevent the tea leaves from being damaged easily, creating a very smooth brew in the cup. The leaves will brew quickly, and you don't need excess heat to draw out flavors until much later in the brewing process.
