Did you know that most Indian black tea is grown on large commercial estate owned farms where the tea pickers make less than $45 a month?
Wild Tree Assam is like no other Indian black tea that you have had before! Not only is the taste unique but so is the place and the farmers that grow it. This Assam tea is grown in untamed forests on virgin soil, where nature does all the work in creating a magnificent tea. The farmers are a husband and wife team that used to work for the large estates and set out to grow and process their own tea. During picking season they call upon their friends to help and create beautiful hand crafted teas in micro batches. They produce 6-8 lots during the year, when weather permits, and each one is slightly different, yet always delicious.
Wild Tree Assam represents a natural taste of black tea that is delicate yet pronounced. The leaves are long and curly and haven't been cut by machines so it won't brew overly tannic. You need just a small amount and you will get a lot of taste. The first time you have this tea you will have to keep reminding yourself that this is the natural taste of noncommercial tea at its very best!
