Song Ling Qing Ancient Wild Arbor Tree (Alt. 2000-2100m)
Wild Arbor tea trees, 200-300 years old grown in the Song Ling tea area located at the top of the mountain 40km east of Yong De County. This area adopts the pure ancient method of sun drying(Ri Shai), which necessitates more than 10 hours of sunlight and has very high weather requirements. The oxidation level of the mao cha is a little bit higher than usual and can be seen by the darker tanned color of the cake and creates a rich tea soup that is incredibly viscous with a pungent aroma and no astringency or vegetal taste. The sugars are slightly caramelized and leave a thick residue on the cup. It is incredible that this cake was only processed last year and is already drinking quite mature.
