Jin Yao Shi is considered a "Ming Cong" (Famous Bush), one of the ten famous clusters of Wuyi Rock Tea. Its history spans approximately 100 years, and it has been cultivated by only a few families within the protected Wuyi Mountain Gorge. This limited production area and its status as a traditional, lesser-known cultivar compared to giants like Da Hong Pao contribute to its rarity and esteem among oolong connoisseurs. It deliberately avoids floral notes and falls into the nutty/vegetal taste family, with delicately structured tannins.
This year, 2025, we commemorate our eighth year working with the studio of the legendary Tea Master Ye Qitong and have been appointed the first exclusive international ambassador of his extraordinary brand. It is a great honor to be recognized as a Tea company whose love of tea, research, and education aligns with Master Ye's vision.
