Hand-hammered copper teapot made by Gyokusendo.
A flat-shaped teapot with a removable copper basket strainer and dark wood knob on the lid. The handle is wrapped in dark bamboo skin. Extremely lightweight for the solid appearance. The dark blue patina is the result of dipping raw copper in an acid bath. It is not painted and is non-uniform throughout the body. It will wear away slowly over time, revealing the natural color of the copper underneath, creating a unique one-of-a-kind piece.
*Teapots $700-1200, inquire for pricing and more information.
