Harvest in April 28th
Balhyo is unique in Korea - not quite oolong, black, or puerh - since each producer has their technique and preference for tea leaf grade (spring, summer, fall). We've categorized this Balhyo as black due to its high level of oxidation and taste. Sejak-grade green tea leaves are expertly oxidized and allowed to wither in the sun before being carefully dried, granting a cocoa nuance that pairs excellently with a pungent aroma and gentle tannins. Boasting a lower caffeine content than traditional black teas, Balhyo offers a delightfully soothing brew.
