特级白牡丹 Special Grade Bai Mu Dan
Special Grade White Peony is the highest grade of its kind, harvested in early spring and composed of one bud and one or two tender leaves that are covered in fine silvery-white down. True to Zhang Lixiong's style, his traditional processing methods would be used to craft it. The taste and aroma can be described as perfect "stillness" and are used to suggest a tea that is mellow, balanced, and conducive to quiet contemplation.
Handcrafted and traditionally sun-dried, the fourth-generation Zhang Lixiong. Professor Zhang was honored in 2024 as an Intangible Cultural Asset in Fuding White Tea production and aging. He is a national-level 1 tea taster and a Senior Engineer in Tea Manufacturing, and he already holds another Intangible Heritage award for Bailin Gonfu Black tea making.
