Perched high atop the Yongde Snow Mountain, the Menghua tea area is considered the highest-altitude ancient tea garden in Yunnan, located at an elevation of 2,100 meters. The region experiences a significant diurnal temperature shift, with warm afternoons giving way to cold nights.
"Menghua" is the ancient name for the local Yi ethnic minority, who call this area home. The tea trees here are remarkably ancient, all over 300 years old, with many specimens reaching 500 to 600 years.
This high-altitude, mountainous environment produces a tea with an enduring sweetness. It is a tea of profound character, with a powerful and alluring aroma and a rich, complex flavor profile. Forged in the alpine cold, the brew offers a surprisingly warm and mystical sensation, accompanied by a deep, textured body that unfolds slowly, making it a tea with considerable aging potential.
