崇安貢茶 "Chong An Gong Cha"
Bu Lao Dan (不老丹), the “Elixir of Agelessness,” is among the rarest heritage cultivars of Wuyishan. Picked from a small cluster of trees more than 120 years old, it yields less than 5 kg a year. The grove’s location is kept private to protect the trees.
The name Chong’an (崇安), Wuyishan’s historic name, honors the region’s centuries as a source of imperial tribute tea. In that spirit, each box holds two packets in a multi-chamber case, wrapped in imperial yellow with dragons, the Emperor's emblem. Fittingly, Master Ye Ruyu (叶如玉), founder of Yan Zhu, is the recognized heritage inheritor of the traditional Chong’an Gongcha (崇安贡茶) craft.
The Chong’an series revives Wuyishan cultivars long overshadowed by market trends. Every tea comes from old trees in the Zhengyan core area and is made entirely by hand under the supervision of Master Ye Ruyu, sister of Master Ye Qitong (叶启桐), a national-level Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor of Wuyi Yancha craftsmanship. In China, teas like these rarely leave private collections and are shared only through long-standing relationships. Master Ye believes tea should be shared with everyone eager to learn, and we are proud to bring these teas to America.
In 2026 we celebrate our ninth year working with the Ye family of Wuyishan: Master Ye Qitong, who led the creation of the national standard samples for Wuyi Yancha, and his sister Master Ye Ruyu, founder of Yan Zhu. We are honored to serve as the first exclusive international ambassador of Master Ye Qitong’s brand.
