Technically perfect and a pleasure to use!
Choosing the right gaiwan can be a daunting task for beginners and experienced tea lovers alike. As simple as the construction of this lidded vessel appears, there are many aspects of it that can set them apart. We chose this minimalist beauty because its size allows it to be handled easily. The walls are quite thin which make it lightweight but still big enough to serve multiple cups. This is our vessel of choice at 29b Teahouse to make all of our oolong, puerh, hongcha, and even green teas!
The minimal style and color of this gaiwan allow for it to be matched with cups, pitchers, and trays that are full of character while keeping the focus and attention on the simple beauty of the tea nestled inside.
Maching teacup, in large, is available for separate purchase.
