Organic Balhyo Black Tea
This tea is unique to Korea since it can't be specifically classified as oolong, black, or puerh and each producer has their own secret technique and tea leaf grade preference. We categorized Balhyo as black by level of oxidation and taste. Sejak grade green tea leaves are oxidized and allowed to sun dry during the day and then rehydrated with the morning dew. This process is repeated many times until the desired aroma and taste is achieved. By doing this the tannins have been "washed off" so it produces a much less bitter black tea with less tannins. The taste is delicate yet pronounced with a full range from beginning to a very long finish. It is hard to describe the satisfaction of drinking this tea so we will leave it up to you to discover and enjoy.
The strong aroma is of roasted almonds and cocoa.
