Few teas announce themselves the way Wuyi Yancha does. From the first sip, these cliff rock oolongs fill the mouth with roasted depth, dark fruit, and a mineral backbone that seems to come straight from the mountain itself. This is not a tea that whispers. It speaks with conviction, and it keeps speaking long after the cup is empty.
That intensity has a source. In the Wuyi Mountains of northern Fujian, tea bushes grow in narrow gorges and along rocky ledges, rooted in soil formed from weathered stone. Mist, shade, and mineral-rich earth shape leaves of remarkable concentration, and skilled hands coax that character forward through careful oxidation and slow charcoal roasting. The result is a tea of layered power: toasted grain and cocoa, stone fruit and orchid, all carried on a structure that feels almost solid on the palate.
Tea drinkers have a name for what lingers afterward: yan yun, the “rock rhyme.” It’s the cooling, resonant finish that rises in the throat and returns sip after sip, and it’s what sets true Yancha apart from every other oolong. Each infusion reveals something new, with the roast receding and the fruit and minerality opening up, so a single session becomes a conversation that unfolds over many cups.

Guidelines
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and get comfortable. Our tasting experience is limited to 90 minutes and will begin at the specified time with a maximum of 8 guests at a shared table. We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing strong perfumes to the tasting for the guests' enjoyment and comfort.
Walk-ins are not accepted, and reservations are made online only on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited seats, we cannot accommodate additional party members. We accept cancellations up to 96 hours in advance for a full refund. Events are only released on a monthly basis and are inspired by the season.
