A very rare hand-made, cast iron tetsubin water kettle by the legendary Morihisa Studio. Each piece is sand cast with the designs imprinted by hand with a single stamping. After the melted iron cools, the sand mold is broken, creating a new one for each kettle. The iron kettles will soften the taste of water and maintain higher boiling temperatures than other materials. Japanese iron kettles are highly sought after by Puerh and aged oolong aficionados and take about one to two years to complete due to the high demand.
*It is recommended to use the smallest burner when placing on the stove, keeping the flame on medium/low, and avoid having the flame climb up the sides and leaving marks on the kettle.
