Hei Liao black clay originates from the Baoshan mining area in Huang Long Shan and is a classic clay in the Zisha category. It is very dense and rare clay hidden under layers of quartzite layer with a purple-black appearance is purple-black. There is a light color gradation of the mineral material. The firing temperature is 1180-1220 ° C, with a shrinkage rate of 8% resulting in a fine semi-glossed finish.
There is an artistic and functional standard for evaluating Yixing teapots, refining tea-making by appearance alone. After considering the quality of the material, a balance exists between beauty and function. As tea lovers, our propensity is shape and style, which enhance the flavor of tea. These classic, refined shapes are a perfect canvas to create a deep luster and patina over time.
