Enyu Lapis Teacups Tall B
Wood-fired in Mashiko with a special salt-glazing technique that produces this beautiful lapis lazuli color, reminiscent of the ocean view in Hakodate.
Welcome to the magical world of Usaka Koji! Ceramic pieces are imbued with folklore and the imagination of this acclaimed potter. Usaka Koji has been creating functional artworks since 1980, when he established his first kiln in Tochigi, Japan. He is most famous for his hand-painted Aka-e (red drawn) or Iro-e(color drawn) high-temperature fired glazed ceramics. His works are instantaneously recognizable and contain a whole universe on their own. The designs often include a detailed arabesque pattern with a moon, clouds, mountains, and even forest creatures. Usaka Koji produces a very limited number of pieces each year, so we hope you will make these select pieces part of your home.
