Handmade cast iron incense burner made by a 13th generation iron casting family in Iwate, Japan using traditional techniques to create amazing shapes and beautiful weathering effects. Each piece will deepen in color with use and develop a one-of-a-kind patina. The incense burner is in a Tengai pattern that originated in China and was presented as a gift to Japan in the form of a bronze mirror. These mirrors can still be seen in many museums and are absolutely captivating.
This traditional incense set includes the iron incense burner, ash, charcoal, kneaded incense. It is a perfect way to introduce yourself or someone special to the world of traditional incense with a complete kit.
