This Japanese, side-handled kyusu is of a generous size with a gently oxidized, smokey facade, its bamboo handle, and knob tied with wisteria. Truly reminiscent of the Yokote igloos of Hokkaido, it boasts a rustic appeal that brings to mind the teapots of old, lovingly imprinted with dents and scratches over time from use in the fields.
