Yan Zhong Lan / Wuyi Cliff Orchid 2018
From the same master that produced last year's Da Hong Pao, is this very special cultivar from 50 year old trees picked in Spring 2018. Completely hand processed and fired at lower temperatures to preserve the delicate floral taste. As the name implies, it is an exquisite orchid! This oolong is a very classic style of Wuyi and very few producers have the skill and experience to make. Fired three times over the course of four months to allow the taste and aroma to mature. Tea was finished in September 2018 and is extremely limited!
Delicate floral aftertaste with notes of honey, fresh baked bread, and herbs. Balanced and refined.
