Prime Minister's Award at the National Traditional Crafts Exhibition
After waiting nearly three years for the completion of this award-winning design by the legendary Morihisa Studio, it is finally available. Each piece is sand cast with the designs imprinted by hand. After the melted iron cools, the sand mold is broken, creating a new one for each kettle. The iron kettles will soften the water taste and maintain higher boiling temperatures than other materials. The kettle is meant to be put on an open flame or magnetic induction.
*It is recommended to use the smallest burner when placing on the stove, keeping the flame on medium/low, and avoid having the flame climb up the sides and leaving marks on the kettle.
