Hand-hammered copper teapot made by Gyokusendo.
A jar-shaped teapot with a built-in strainer and oak wooden knob on the lid. The handle is wrapped in dark bamboo skin. This teapot is lined in silver/tin to preserve the pure taste of the tea. The dark blue patina is the result of raw copper being dipped into an acid bath. It is not painted on and will slowly fade over time with regular use to reveal the natural copper color underneath, creating a unique one-of-a-kind piece.
