"A powerful folk ceramist"
In 1997, he began an apprenticeship under master Jieping Lu to learn the production of purple sand, and through his hard work, talent, and skill continues to mature and perfect his art. The works make full use of the color of five-color clay while injecting personal emotion, attention to the change of pattern, and creating his unique style in the production teapots.
There should be a balance between beauty and function after quality. There is an artistic and functional standard for evaluating Yixing teapots, and it should refine tea making by appearance alone. As we are tea-lovers, our propensity is for shapes and styles that aid in making tea well. These classic, simple shapes are a perfect canvas to create a deep luster and patina over time.
