A bi-monthly series on all things tea. We will offer beginner, intermediate, and connoisseur level lectures. Limited edition teas and wares will be made available. We look forward to sharing a cup of tea with you!

“A Perfect Cup of Tea” - Basic brewing techniques for various types of teas using different wares.
Thursday September 24
“Japanese Green Tea” – An introduction to Sencha.
The sharing of knowledge is always free! There is no charge for the tasting but there are goods for purchase to continue practicing at home.
There will be three, 45 minute sessions starting at the top of each hour. You are welcome to come in at any time.

Tea Dealers, Inc. (www.tea-dealers.com) was established in 2005 with an aim of offering high-quality teas and artisanal ceramics. Stefen Ramirez, owner and founder, first started in the tea business by helping to introduce tea to American consumers as a tea specialist and buyer for one of Japan's largest tea companies in the early 2000's. Tea Dealers first began exclusively as a private client business that curated luxury tea and contemporary wares for high profile individuals. Stefen has also been studying traditional Japanese tea ceremony, Chanoyu, since 2007 at the Urasenke tea school in NYC. In 2010 he went on a tea sabbatical in Kyoto, Japan for two years where he dove deeper into the art of tea. After his return, Stefen realized that Tea Dealers' new mission was to establish a customer base who are focused on leading healthy lifestyles and having a positive impact on the environment in which they live.
In April 2015, Tea Dealers opened its first retail location as a shop-in-shop at the Japanese restaurant 1 OR 8 (www.oneoreightbk.com) located in the south side of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Atelier TD offers tastings and prepackaged teas and wares. A full tea service can be enjoyed through the restaurant in the dining room or casually at the bar.
